Returns & reprints.

Everything we make is manufactured to your specification, so we cannot resell a returned job. Instead of a restocking policy, we run a straightforward reprint policy: if the fault is ours, we fix it.

Last updated March 2025

We reprint free of charge when

  • The job does not match the proof you approved.
  • There is a print defect — banding, misregistration, streaking or visible ink drop-out.
  • A material or finishing fault is present, such as delamination, a failed weld or a mis-cut edge.
  • The wrong product, size, quantity or substrate was supplied.
  • The order arrived damaged in transit and you told us within 48 hours.

We can't reprint when

  • The error was present in the artwork you approved — spelling, layout, sizing or a wrong logo.
  • Low-resolution supplied artwork printed soft or pixelated after we flagged it.
  • Colour differs from an unprofiled screen but sits inside our stated 5% commercial tolerance.
  • The goods have been installed, trimmed, drilled or otherwise modified.
  • Damage was caused by accident, vandalism, storm, incorrect cleaning or misuse.

How to lodge a claim

  • Contact us within 7 days of receiving the goods — email info@irissigns.co.nz or call 09 262 4550.
  • Quote your order number and describe the issue.
  • Send clear photographs showing the fault and the full product.
  • Hold the goods until we have assessed the claim. Please do not install faulty product.

What happens next

We assess every claim within two business days. If we accept it, we reprint on priority and cover return freight. Where a reprint is not practical we will offer a credit or a refund of the affected portion of the order, at your choice.

Cancelling before production

You can cancel at no cost any time before you approve the digital proof. After approval, materials are cut and machine time is committed, so cancellation is charged at the cost of work completed.

Stock hardware

Unprinted stock hardware — bare A-frames, pull-up cassettes, snap frames and banner rails — can be returned within 14 days if unused and in original packaging. A 20% handling fee applies and return freight is at your cost.

Your statutory rights

This policy sits alongside the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and does not limit your rights under it where you buy as a consumer.
